Description
These coilovers are designed to be used only with the PRG UPPER CONTROL ARMS to extract as much height possible with out going to a bracket lift. Wheel travel is also increased to the maximum amount by offering 1.5" more down travel over stock. Max lift on 4wd is approx 3.5 inches (up to 4 inches on 2wd) but for best ride and handling we recommend 2.5-3" on a 4wd (3.5 on a 2wd). Nissan blessed us with great CV joints and these are not at all overstressed, even at maximum lift. Many people ask if they can get these first and add an aftermarket upper control arm later. Yes, you can, but the stock upper a-arm will hit the coil bucket often. These coilovers are the best riding shocks for the Xterra on the market today. They are completely rebuildable and revalvable and come with Eibach springs. The springs are heavy enough to support the added weight of body armor (and a winch) and decrease brake dive and body roll during hard cornering but still offer a great ride on and off road. These coilovers come completely assembled and ready to install, no spring compressor required. We even preset the height to approx. 2.5" of lift, but you may have to fine tune the ride height using the supplied spanner wrench. We also include a set of upgraded urethane bumpstops to even further reduce bottoming. Since these are designed to be used with the PRG Upper Control Arms we sell these as a package to offer a substantial savings. You may also purchase them separately.
