Note 2: The springs typically drop ship from whereever they currently are in the country and the ubolts/bushings ship usps from our facility. you may get 2 or 3 different deliverys spred over a few days. Dont panic, your parts will all arrive eventually.
When price shopping, be sure to compare (2) leaf packs, (2) bushings kits and (1) ubolt kit.
These are a great mid-priced option for 2005+ Xterra owners looking to upgrade/replace their stock spring packs as you get a whole-lotta spring for the $$. These springs offer about 1.5-2" of lift over stock. Why not a more precise estimate of lift, well, we have no idea of the current condition of your springs or the exact height you sit now, but we have measured many times 1.5-2" of actual lift, no matter what the mfg or the interwebs say. These springs need a bushing kit as well as longer u-bolts to actually work on your Xterra. We sell the complete kit. The ride of these springs is pretty good and bottoming resistance is much better than stock. These will support an aftermarket rear bumper/spare tire carrier well. OME does make an Add-a-leaf to increase the load capacity of these springs (and offer 1" more height) but we have found it really hurts the overall ride of these. Unless you are making your Xterra into a dumptruck, the OME HD kit just doesn't work that well. At that point we suggest a custom spring pack as the price will be about the same but with better results going custom (please contact the spring builder directly, many internet companies are trying to cash in on these springs, but you will get better service and a better product going direct...this is why we dont sell custom complete springs). We include the sb99 bushing kits w these springs as well as our ubolt kit. Shims are typically NOT needed with these unless adding a couple more inches with a shackle.
Note; people often ask to compare these to our AAL...these are a better option as they get rid of the factory springs (weak link). These are a bit harder to install as you will need to drop the spare tire and the nuts on the stock shackles can be a pain in the ass to remove. These also cost about 3x as much, so they should work better. As for height, our 2 leaf AAL will sit about 1/2" taller than these springs, but you can add a shackle (ours preferably but any of the aftermarket ones EXCEPT the OME shackles as those require special bushings) to get up to 2" more lift.
